ok well here’s mine. It’s an emotional short film, 2 minutes long. And it should explain why I want the focus here to still mainly be on writing and writers.
In 1975 my first memory was a library.
In 2021 I returned to the library and the surrounding streets where I grew up after 40 years away.
In 2022 I had my first book published and took it to the library where it’s in use.
In 2024 my second book was published and is in this library.
This Tuesday (May 13) I return to Manor House Library for a Q & A on libraries and my specialist subject of sport.
It’s been a deepy moving experience to go back. Cherish and protect our libraries and the written word.
